Elissa Quist is an abstract painter in Denver, Colorado. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, her influences were diverse, both classical and conceptual. Mentored with renowned color theorist, Judy Crook, her focus became dedicated to the understanding of the psychological effects of color and form. Endeavoring to create environments that reflect awareness, Elissa paints what lives in the subconscious, attempting to make visual those things that form our perceptions. Working in oil paint and wax, she takes advantage of the pigment saturation and texture it provides. Take a look at her selected works, and get in touch for purchasing or more information.
